These terms cover the use of the TableTap website and of the guest pages you open from a table or a booking link. Businesses that use TableTap to run their venue agree a separate contract with Lockwood Technology, which takes precedence for them.
Using TableTap as a guest
- Your order is with the venue. The venue sets the menu, the prices and what is available, and is responsible for the food, drink and service.
- Prices are in Tanzanian shillings and include the taxes the venue shows on the bill.
- A payment is complete when Malipopay confirms it and it shows on your bill. If a payment fails, nothing is taken; you can try again or pay another way.
- Refunds are decided by the venue, and paid back to the number or method you paid with.
Bookings and deposits
- A booking is with the venue. The booking page shows its terms, including any deposit.
- If a deposit is asked, the table is held while you pay. The deposit comes off your bill on the day. Whether it is returned when you cancel depends on the venue's terms, which are shown before you book.
- Keep the link you are given. It is the way to see or cancel your booking.
Fair use
Do not misuse TableTap: do not try to reach other people's orders, bills or bookings, interfere with the service, or place orders you do not intend to pay for. We may limit access to keep the service safe.
Our responsibility
We work to keep TableTap available and accurate, but connections and phones can fail. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by a venue or by a mobile money provider. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Tanzanian consumer law.
