TableTap is a product of Lockwood Technology, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This notice explains what we collect when you use the TableTap website, the guest pages you open from a table or a booking link, and the TableTap apps and portal, and what we do with it. We follow the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 of Tanzania.
Who is responsible
For this website and for the accounts of businesses that use TableTap, Lockwood Technology decides how personal data is used. When you order, pay or book at a venue, that venue decides how your details are used, and we process them on its behalf.
What we collect
- When you ask for a demo: your name, business name, phone number, and the email, city and message you choose to add.
- When you order at a table: what you order, the table, and the name you give, if any.
- When you pay by mobile money: the phone number you pay from and the amount. Payments are made through Malipopay, which handles the payment itself. We never see your PIN.
- When you book a table: your name, phone number, party size, date and time, and the email and note you choose to add.
- For staff and owners: your name, email, role, sign-in records and the actions you take, which are kept in an audit log.
- Basic technical records, such as the time of a request and the address it came from, to keep the service working and secure.
How we use it
- To take orders, payments and bookings, and to show you your bill, receipt or booking.
- To contact you about a demo you asked for.
- To keep accounts secure, prevent fraud, and meet tax and accounting duties.
- To send offers from a venue only if you ticked the box to agree. You can say no at any time.
Who we share it with
With the venue you order from, pay or book with. With Malipopay, to make payments. With service providers that host and run TableTap for us, under contract. With authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
For as long as needed for the purpose above, and for the period tax and accounting law requires for payment and sales records.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it where the law allows, or to stop us using it for offers. For details a venue holds, you can also ask the venue. To make a request, contact us through the contact form and say it is a privacy request.
Changes
We will update this notice when what we do changes, and show the date of the latest version at the top.
